Service: Solar PV
Project background
After significantly reducing their load through various energy efficiency initiatives, Senwes installed a solar PV system to further reduce their energy cost and carbon footprint. This system uses 2 392 Trina modules connected to 30 SMA STP 25 inverters to provide up to 100% of their power during the peak sun hours. In addition, the weather station and Sunny Portal provide online monitoring capabilities. The PV has also been integrated with the standby generator system using an advanced control system. They are making this office facility green, intelligent and ready for the future.
Senwes has expanded the use of solar PV over many of its retail outlets and silo properties. This system helps to avoid 874,3 tons of CO2 emissions annually compared to fossil fuel-based sources; this is equivalent to planting 68895 trees annually.
