Service: Solar PV
Project background
This company installed a solar PV system to reduce their almost 2.5MVA of demand and associated energy bill at their main factory. One of the many challenges in this installation was the various injection points and, thus, the distributed nature of the PV system. This was addressed by installing a wireless mesh network across the site and collecting all the data to one central point before uploading it to the Sunny Portal. This communication network allows feed-in control and integration with their diesel generator system. 26 x SMA STP50-40 CORE-1 and 4 x SMA STP25 inverters are installed across the site and connected to 4 480 Jinko modules. This installation includes a complete lightning protection system and a weather station. All are working in perfect harmony to provide clean power to the facility.
They’ve expanded the use of solar PV across all branches of its business. Compared to fossil fuel-based sources, the system helps to avoid 3 216,745 tons of CO2 emissions annually. This is equivalent to planting 253,479,506 trees every year.
